UC Santa Cruz student art contest for 2026 poster image closes April 20

Like creating monsters? The UC Santa Cruz Center for Monster Studies is looking for its next poster image for the 2026 Festival of Monsters (Oct. 14-18). The winning monster will be seen on posters, ads, apparel and more. The competition is open to currently enrolled UC Santa Cruz students.

The winning UCSC student receives $500, plus a t-shirt and poster. Submit your monster file (png, pdf or jpeg) to ucscmonsters@gmail.com by April 20, 2026. We prefer human-created monster images!
